There’s nothing better than the smell of apples and cinnamon cooking early in the morning. It’s one of the reasons we decided to pair our delicious Paleo Pancakes with a warm, apple cinnamon compote. Ready for the recipe?
- 3 lbs. apples peeled, sliced
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp. arrowroot
- Simmer apples 30 minutes over low heat, covered until it's thick and the apples are tender.
- Add water and arrowroot to create a thick sauce.
- Pour over plantain pancakes or serve with your favorite dish!
