There’s nothing better than the smell of apples and cinnamon cooking early in the morning.  It’s one of the reasons we decided to pair our delicious Paleo Pancakes with a warm, apple cinnamon compote.  Ready for the recipe?

Apple Cinnamon Compote Paleo Pancakes

Ingredients
  1. 3 lbs. apples peeled, sliced
  2. 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  3. 1/4 cup honey
  4. 1 cup water
  5. 1 tbsp. arrowroot
Instructions
  1. Simmer apples 30 minutes over low heat, covered until it's thick and the apples are tender.
  2. Add water and arrowroot to create a thick sauce.
  3. Pour over plantain pancakes or serve with your favorite dish!
