The Morning Ritual
It’s a ritual that so many of us are familiar with; waking up completely out of it and craving that first cup of coffee so you get the feeling you can take on the day. Most people assume it’s best to drink that fresh cup of brew as soon as possible in order to feel energized, but a new study shows that’s not how it works.
It’s actually counterproductive to have caffeine right when you get out of bed. It not only less effective first thing in the morning, it also increases your caffeine tolerance leaving you needing more and more to get the same effect.
Your body is naturally prepares you for the day early in the morning. Essentially, you need to let your body do what it’s supposed to do before introducing a stimulant in it in order get the strongest effect from caffeine.
