Who doesn’t love a Bacon Avocado Burger? With delicious grass-fed beef, crispy bacon, and creamy avocado, the word that comes to mind is YUM! Unfortunately, a nice sesame seed bun is out of the question. But, with our Yiddish Kitchen’s Everything Bagel, you can have your (savory) cake and eat it too! The outside of the bagel is coated with onion and garlic powder, caraway, poppy and sesame seeds and is perfect for this burger classic. Be sure to source grass-fed beef and pastured bacon if possible. We use Pederson’s Natural Farms Sugar Free Bacon, available in our store.

Everything Bagel Bacon Avocado Burger

Everything Bagel Burger with Bacon and Avocado

  1. 6 oz grass fed ground beef
  2. 1 tsp. onion powder
  3. 1 tsp. salt
  4. ¼ tsp. pepper
  5. 1 avocado
  6. 3 slices Pedersons Bacon
  7. 1 Everything Bagel
  8. Optional: Paleo Ketchup (recipe below)
Paleo Ketchup
  1. 20 oz Tomato Puree
  2. 4 T. Apple Cider Vinegar
  3. 2 t. Garlic Powder
  4. 1 t. Onion Powder
  5. Pinch of Cloves
  6. ¼ t. Allspice
  7. 3 t. Sea Salt
  8. 1 t. Paprika
  9. ½ t. Black Pepper
  10. ½ t. Dry Mustard
  11. ¼ t. Chili Powder
  12. 1 T. Balsamic Vinegar
  13. 1 T. Coconut Aminos
For The Burger
  1. In a bowl mix the ground beef, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Form a patty and either fry it in a pan or grill it until cooked to your preference.
  3. Fry the 3 slices of bacon in a pan until crisp.
  4. Cut the everything bagel in half lengthwise and toast in a toaster oven or broiler.
  5. Put the burger patty on top, sliced avocado and top with bacon.
  6. Add some Paleo Ketchup if you like.
For The Ketchup
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a sauce pan.
  2. Bring ketchup to a simmer and then turn the burner down to low for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
  3. Refrigerate before serving.
