Five Great Recipes Using Yiddish Kitchen’s Everything Bagels
Did we say recipes? What we really meant was five awesome, quick and convenient bagel sandwiches. Our new Yiddish Kitchen Everything Bagels are super versatile and are great for handheld meals. The bagel is dense (as it should be) and the herbs-and-seeds-crusted outside make it the perfect savory treat. Ultimately, it is perfect simply toasted and spread with Ghee. We have come up with five classic sandwich entrees for you to enjoy with our bagel. Plus, a bonus recipe for cream cheese!
Tuna salad is one of my favorite things. But, tuna melts? Now, I’m in heaven! Melted “cheddar cheese” (paleo of course) over the top of tuna, served on one of our Yiddish Kitchen Everything Bagels. So savory and full of flavor. This is a great lunch or dinner meal paired with a delicious salad, some avocado on the side or with savory Rosemary Garlic Roasted Root Veggies.
Probably one of the world’s top comfort foods is pizza. But a dairy free, gluten free pizza? I wasn’t so sure about it. Our chef continues to amaze with her cheese creations. The “mozzarella cheese” used here is made from cashews and is pretty incredible. Consequently, this can be a great starting point for you; add whatever ingredients you like on your pizza; mushrooms, onions or even some of our Pedersons No Sugar Italian Sausage!
By and large I think burgers are one of the most perfect foods, right up there with tacos. Compact, easy to handle with everything you could want all wrapped up in an easy to handle package. Yum. Serve this burger with some Sweet Potato or Yuca fries for a delicious dinner meal.
Bacon, bacon and more bacon. We use Pederson’s Natural Farms Sugar Free Bacon here at Paleo on the Go. It has none of the bad stuff bacon usually does — just good, clean, real-food yummy bacon. I love a good BLT with a nice thick slice of Beefsteak Tomato. Pick some up at your local organic farmers market when planning your meals for the week. If you’re having this meal for breakfast serve it along side a sunny side up scrambled egg. #delicious
Delicious egg salad AND bacon! Another comfort food classic is transformed by our chef. Super yum! It’s a simple thing, eggs, onion, celery and paleo mayo. We give you a recipe for a paleo mayo in the post that is easy to make in small batches and keep on hand. Add arugula to this sandwich for a quick, convenient and complete lunch meal!

Bonus Recipe Included
What’s a bagel without cream cheese? Here is a simple recipe for a Cashew “Cream Cheese Spread”. This spread goes great with our Yiddish Kitchen Everything Bagels. Be sure you let the finished product sit in the refrigerator for at least two hours after you make it. This will allow the flavors to come together. Use this recipe as a base and add finely diced vegetables, maybe a Mexican food inspired spread. Ultimately, you can add whatever you want, have fun with it and enjoy!
Paleo Herbed “Cream Cheese Spread”
- 1 ½ cups raw cashews, soaked overnight
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1 T. chopped Basil
- 1 T. chopped Parsley
- 1 tsp. chopped Rosemary
- 1 tsp. chopped Oregano
- 1 T. minced garlic
- Drain the soaked cashews and place into a processor.
- Blend on high until very creamy.
- Add remaining ingredients and process to combine fully.
- Refrigerate for two hours to marry flavors.
