Work Your Entire Body in Just Minutes!
One of the best things about HIIT workouts is that you can work your entire body in minimal time. It is pretty intense but you can do anything for four minutes right? And remember you’ve got some breaks in between. The point of a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout is to condition your body and build stamina. These short style workouts can also improve glucose metabolism.
What’s a Tabata?
There is no specific formula to follow when doing HIIT training, but most trainers use the “Tabata” style. It’s a 2:1 ratio. This regimen, first initiated by Izumi Tabata was used to train Olympic skaters. The first workout was just 4 minutes, consisting of 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off. This week, Michelle’s primal movement workout follows this ratio and training style. Check it out!
