Raspberries Have a Special Place in my Heart

Growing up there was an empty lot we walked through on our way to and from school. It was filled with Raspberry bushes and in the spring we would pick handfuls and snack on them the rest of our walk. As a result fresh raspberries take me to a happy, carefree time of my life. For this reason I love anything raspberry. So, when we started working on smoothie recipes I knew that raspberries had to be a part of at least one.

Avocado… in a smoothie?

Another thing I like about these recipes is the use of avocado. There were many avocado trees as well in the neighborhood I grew up in. Consequently, I have had them served many different ways, but never as an ingredient in a smoothie. They add a rich creamy texture as well as protein. In addition I love anything with coconut. So you should give this smoothie a try too!

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups raspberries
  2. 1 avocado
  3. ½ cup coconut cream
  4. 2 T. Honey
  5. ½ cup orange juice
  6. 1 T. grass-fed gelatin
  7. 1 cup ice
Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend until completely smooth.
