I love mushrooms. Did you know that there are more than 10,000 varieties of mushrooms? That’s a lot! There are approximately eight that are commonly available in markets in this country. Combining the different varieties of mushrooms made the flavor in this dish incredible. Adding fresh herbs and garlic all sautéed in Kelapo Ghee makes this a rich, flavorful and meaty tasting dish.

Honestly, I could have eaten a whole bowl of this and been completely satisfied. This would be great on its own as a side dish or served on top of a nice grilled ribeye or chicken. Tasty Garlic and Fresh Herbs Sautéed Mushrooms

Ingredients
  1. 2 lbs. assorted mushrooms, sliced
  2. 2 Tsp minced fresh garlic
  3. 1 Tsp minced fresh rosemary
  4. 1 Tsp minced fresh thyme
  5. 1 Tsp mince fresh sage
  6. ½ cup Kelapo Ghee
  7. 2 tsp. sea salt
  8. ¼ cup cooking sherry
Instructions
  1. Heat ghee in large sauté pan
  2. Add garlic, sweat for a minute, then add mushrooms and herbs
  3. Add sherry. Sauté for 5-8 minutes, stirring frequently
  4. Add salt, sauté for a minute or two more until most of the liquid evaporates.
  5. 2 lbs. assorted mushrooms, sliced
Notes
  1. Use whatever mushrooms you can find in your area. Combing different varieties boosts the earthy flavor.
