Teriyaki isn’t the most common type of wings people eat, especially in the paleo world. I think Paleos sometimes like to pretend to forget the whole pan-asian flavor profile doesn’t exist because while they’re oh-so-good, they’re also oh-so-problematic; namely because of the soy and wheat. Furthermore, soy sauce is the basis of teriyaki sauce which to some of us is one of the most delicious sauces ever created.
The Paleo Teriyaki Wing Experiment
Fortunately, with a little chef-expertise and a little taste testing by our team, our Executive Chef Ann was able to come up with an authentic-tasting, real-food version of Teriyaki Chicken Wings. There’s a delightful balance of sweet and savory here that will make your mouth water. Coconut Aminos is used in the place of soy sauce for that addictive “umami” flavor!
